Friday the 13th may be unlucky for some but for Carlow County Museum it proved to be a lucky September day in 2019 to launch their new exhibition with the 5th Carlow (Town) Scouts “On My Honour I Will Try…” Scouting in Carlow, 90 Years Growing.
It was standing room only when over 150 invited guests attended the launch of the Carlow County Museum's exhibition back in 2019, which explores the growth, development and evolution of Scouting in Carlow, right through to the present day. Dermot Mulligan, Curator of Carlow County Museum opened the event by welcoming everyone who had turned out to support the launch. The Scouts were out in full force with all ages represented, with Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Venture Scouts and Rover Scouts all decked out in their uniforms.
