Our huge thanks to everyone that joined us for #CultureNight2022 on Friday 23rd September, when we marked the occasion by presenting three 5th Carlow Town Scout Group videos to an assembled audience in our temporary gallery.
First up was a reworking of our exhibition video “On My Honour I Will Try…” Scouting in Carlow, 90 Years Growing, which has been edited to include contributions by former and current scout group members.
Colin Whelan, Chairperson of the 5th Carlow (Town) Scout Unit, then introduced two specially commissioned videos that were made with the assistance of Carlow County Council and the Local Enterprise Office, Carlow. The first video demonstrated the typical activities of the differing sections within the group and the second featured documentary about the rich history of the scouts in Carlow.
